Graphical user interface (GUI) is a system which allows user to interact with the computer system more freely comparing with conventional ‘command line interface’. In a GUI system, interaction of user with computer is by using a mouse. Now its almost established that GUI is an integral component of info networking via multimedia. The idea and implementation of GUI was initiated first by Xerox Palo Alto Research Centre. But popularity was due to Apple Computer Company which used GUI in their Macintosh line of computers. Now Microsoft windows and UNIX are using GUI features extensively.
